Every day we are hearing more and more stories of the ever-increasing costs of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and what it will mean to the taxpayers. Next year the city of Vancouver will be a nightmare to all who try to negotiate the numerous closed-off streets, security checks and utter chaos caused by the added influx of visitors to the local workforce and residents. Given the ever-increasing costs and the turmoil being associated with the two week event, I wonder how many of those Vancouverites who voted in favour of the Games, would do so today?

Anti Olympic people always exaggerate doom and gloom , but in the end the sky doesn’t fall yet they still keep yelling it to anybody they can tell.
Are you saying Vancouver is some backwater territorial town that never had tourists or crowds if so you don’t pain a very positive light of the city. Salt Lake City hosted a very successful Olympics and every thing didn’t turn into utter chaos. I am sure most people will be thrilled by the beautiful backdrop and the thrill of sports.
